The Shell Home (Gone...Not Forgotten)
The photos of the Shell home sent to us by our friend, Betty McCollum, is a prime example of why it is important that we document the old buildings in the county.
The EIC crew passed this home many times and almost every time one of us has said something like, "We really need to get pictures of this place before it is gone".
Well, the Super-Tuesday Tornado that ripped through Izard County in February reduced the old home to splinters. Thanks to Mrs. Betty, however, we have a photographic record of it.
